Where tf is update...did the translator died or somethin'???
I've just binged read it and caught up to the current 75 translated chapters. I've gotta say I am quite enjoying it so far and am looking forward to the next few hundred.
Magical Saitama? HAHA
Have read all currently available chapters (71) and it is surpringly pretty good. I think if you read the comments here you'll end up with a lot of misconceptions about the novel which may lead you to not bother with it.In terms of his disorder, I still find it pretty weird that he didn't explore any other options around it. We are shown how a Magical swordsman fights, but its not clear whether it requires them to Evoke Magic through their sword - its just mentioned that it requires a magical sword which allows Mana to flow through it. That being said he has pretty much solely been Magic based with absolutely no proper training or experience in how to fight (before his awakening) so I guess that could be the reason he didn't immediately jump to become a Magic swordsman. In regards to the Title/Melee part, that seems pretty accurate based on his fight style. SpoilerHe has a skill which allows him to empower literally any part of him with Magic. So it's not like he's just Punching or Kicking - he can use any part of his body as a weapon. Like having spells empowering his shoulders, so upon shouldering someone they get blasted. He doesn't use any weapons nor does he have a specific fight style that can be categorised yet, therefore him being called a Melee Magician is pretty damn accurate. In Chap 71 SpoilerHe finally got a weapon built for himself, which is basically just a combination of gloves and knuckdusters, but even then his fighting style will likely still involve using his entire body.In regards to the System, the comment here about it made me think that the system would be there all the time, but tbh the opposite is true. Other than when it's introduced, alongside the daily quest (similar to Solo Levelling where it's just working out), there has been very little use of the system. It wasn't used like at all in the entirety of the tournament arc besides him mentioned doing the daily quests. Other than that there is basically no repeated mentions or use of the system. He uses the skills he was granted via being a "Player", but he gets very few quests (other than the Daily) and other than a few times very early on, there is no copy paste of his whole status all the time. [Actually there has never actually been one where we are shown all his stats and skills. The few that were shown early just mentioned stats and his background.] We are just told the value of his main stat. No levels or exp either. Just 3 stats of which his main focus is 1 of them. This MC isn't a transmigrator or anything, so he has no knolwedge of systems or video games. He is the incarnation of someone who had the exact same disorder as him and his "Player" status is granted via the use of an Artifact. He does have some typical "Player" skills, like having an Observation skill, but there are some moments where things don't follow the typical generic template SpoilerSuch as his team not automatically winning every match due to relying on MC/his tactics and thus coming 4th overall, his interfering in a 1v1 he initally agreed to allow happen due to not wanting his teammate to be defeated as well as her not being mad at him for doing that. It's not like these are completely unpredictable, ground breaking twists. But it's nice that it's not bland and generic.Overall, i'd definetly give it a try at least.
why not just say he's a magic swords man?? or a "Marital Artist" its like saying "Being The Most Powerfull Archer USING A SWORD!!!" bro just say your a Hunter bruh..... or a rouge or something damn
Bruh, he's single. Not married
🤣🤣🤣
it's not like i hate systems but it's boring. the repeated mentions and uses of systems that some authors forgot to use their imagination to writejust like this.for example you can make mc realize that "oh! if i can't release the magic why not wrap myself using mana to fight in close range" or the mc 'coincidentally' find an inheritance on how to use magic in a different way. but later realizing it is not a coincidence but someone deliberately led him there
please note that i am not a writer nor do i have experience in writing novels/light novels. this is purely my imagination and i don't believe it's that great i just want some authors to widen their horizons in writing some stories, thank you
There is only one reason. It's popular. Creativity can't become food on the table, Systems can.
It's not like only systems is repeated. If you read enough you realize that most authors just don't want to create their own mc's fight style. Just add swordmanship\spearmanship + some energy projection and you got "warrior" type. Use fireball and thunderbolt and you got "wizard" and so and so.For me every close combat mc means hard time to read (if fighting is main theme) bcoz evey author force mc to close combat for easily of imagine it. It's very hard to find true and unusual mages...
i get what you said, in most cases i always skip the fighting scenes because my brain can't comprehend their actions'he used this to counter that and so on' what a top tier fighting scene
It seems you've never watched and anime nor read a manga nor played an rpg or fighting game...I find it super easy to visualize mele fights from years of anime manga and rpg along with hack n slash games...
i know their moves, like even a simpleton would know how to imagine the world "slash" i'm talking about those situations where they talk about those f#cking moves that looks like some shit
besides i want to complete the fight scenes in my mind if i'll read thoseimagine the author saying slash then after that slash he kicked ehat i want to know is where did the kick land or how did he change to kick ftom slash
Fun and engaging, I've enjoyed the story so far and it certainly has its boring and unbelievable moments but they're rather bearable and not too common. All and all this novel is good if you are bored and have some spare time.
Yes the big fist is supreme in any world
